Red Rock Farm in the Still of Winter
In the midst of a snowy New England winter, Red Rock Farm wears a white blanket. We are surrounded by the beauty and serenity of snowy fields, a frozen stream, snowfilled woodlands, and winding white trails. It is quiet and it is bitter cold - down to your bones cold. Outside work is challenging and necessary to keep up with the needs of horses on the farm. Cleaning stalls, keeping fresh non-iced water, and exercise, are all part of ongoing activities for the 20+ horses cared for by Laurinwood Equestrian at Red Rock Farm.
For the event venue side of the Farm, we also are not still. We are readying ourselves and our settings for you for spring. Our vision is to preserve the legacy and serenity of Red Rock Farm by offering you a unique, authentic, nature-rich venue for meaningful events that are as personal and memorable as the land itself. During this Year of the Fire Horse, one trait that we are focusing on is transformative energy. How can we bring our vision to guests to experience the peaceful vibe and beauty of the Farm? Structural changes to the Machine Shed
Yes - we have a Machine Shed and it will be available for guests to use very soon. This old structure will keep the name “Machine Shed" because that has been its forever name in our family. This renovated space was previously used for machine repair, tractor maintenance, Model T parking, and a reading sanctuary. You won’t recognize it now! The newly whitewashed walls are adorned with relics from the Farm- old tools, bottles, pictures, and baskets. It will be the perfect stand alone setting for smallish events (40 guests) or a great add-on to a tent for parties up to 80. The rustic chic vibe of the space is a great addition for our other outdoor areas. It will make a splendid setting or backdrop to your medium sized celebrations- engagement, shower, retirement, corporate event, anniversary - you name it.

Learning, learning, learning
The Professor and the Colonel (Monica and Paul) speak a few languages (academic, therapist, military, some French, Spanish, and German) and venue management is a new crash language for us. We are taking the cold winter to reflect on our changes, challenges, and opportunities. With curiosity and networking we have learned a lot and we are eager to share our new ideas for Farm with you for your event.
